Cancer Research UK, the UK's biggest funder of research into the causes and treatment of cancer, provides funding to Cambridge-based researchers. The new Cancer Research UK Cambridge Research Institute (CRI) is housed in the Li Ka Shing Centre on the Addenbrooke's site and provides a purpose-built site exclusively designed for cancer research.
